More About Cenacles

So What’s a Cenacle?

The Cenacle (from Latin cēnāculum “dining room”), also known as the “Upper Room” (from Koine Greek anagaion and hyperōion, both meaning “upper room”) was traditionally held to be the site of the Last Supper.

In Christian tradition, the room was not only the site of the Last Supper (i.e. the Cenacle), but the room in which the Holy Spirit alighted upon the eleven apostles after Easter. It is sometimes thought to be the place where the apostles stayed in Jerusalem.

What is a Flame of Love Cenacle?

A Flame of Love Cenacle is a gathering, usually recurring, preferably before the Blessed Sacrament either exposed or in the Tabernacle. In the case of virtual cenacles, a Perpetual Adoration Chapel is sometimes streamed into the virtual meeting.
There is usually instruction and discussion about the devotion.
There is always prayer – typically the Flame of Love Rosary, Unity Prayer, and Meditation on the five wounds of Jesus
Sometimes there is adoration.

It is helpful but not necessary to attend a cenacle in order to practice devotion to the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The grace of the Flame of Love supercharges all ministries and is encouraged not just as a separate devotion but also to complement existing devotions and ministries. Those already so engaged may not be able to attend a Flame of Love cenacle but are still able to unleash its powerful grace to blind Satan in our families and communities.
